St. Joseph’s Food Pantry is currently seeking an Executive Director after Eva Estorga recently announced her retirement.

Position Overview: The Executive Director is responsible for the management, operation, and furthering the mission of St. Joseph’s Food Pantry in order to meet the needs of Laramie County residents facing food insecurity. This includes establishing and maintaining relationships with volunteers, clients, community partners, donors, and the Food Bank of Wyoming.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates Christian values

  • Communicates with dignity for each person

  • Excellent communication, organizational and decision-making skills

  • Good with delegation and team-building

  • Familiar with social media

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Willing to learn ParishSoft (accounting software)

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus

Key Areas of Responsibility

Volunteers:

  • Solicits, trains, and creates volunteer schedules

  • Ensures daily supervision

  • Collaborates with Lead Volunteers assigned to various aspects of pantry operations

  • Coordinates and attends Lead Volunteer meetings

Clients:

  • Interacts with clients and addresses client concerns

  • Ensures all client information and interactions are treated with privacy and care

Community Partners:

  • Oversees volunteer drivers who pick up and deliver donations to the pantry from various community partners and stores

  • Public Relations:

    • Represents the pantry in the community and is the primary point of contact for the community

    • Leads pantry participation in community food drives

    • Community outreach and education (to include some public speaking)

    • Provides education and pantry tours to interested parties and donors

  • Manages and coordinates food rescue donations during and outside business hours

  • Coordinates food distribution event for Thanksgiving holiday

Food Bank of Wyoming

  • Manages the acquisition, storage, and distribution of all food

  • Conducts inventory of all goods and submits reports as required

  • Meets Food Bank of Wyoming regulations

  • Receives food donations

  • Submits quarterly reports

  • Continuing education as required

  • Oversees Food Bank of Wyoming inspections and adheres to all food storage regulations

Administration

  • Maintains office files and records

  • Responsible for implementation of policies and procedures

  • Supports marketing and public relations by providing information as needed

  • Pays pantry expenses and bills, makes deposits

  • Tracks expenses and donations through ParishSoft and submits expense reports to the Board in coordination with the pantry bookkeeper

  • Maintains warehouse facility and equipment to safe standards and arranges for repairs and maintenance needs with Board approval when necessary

  • Attends Board meetings

  • Other duties as directed by the Board

Appointment and Term: This is an at-will employment position.

Payroll Status: Full-time salaried employee with benefits, $50,000-55,000 annual salary

Evaluation: Annual evaluation with the Board of Directors, which does not change the at-will nature of this position.
